Draw, paint, do anything art-related... THEN criticize. Bitchface.

You miss the point...
I would not dream of submitting any photography unless it would mean ...
:iconkeithvii:
What an impressive use of ellipses. You don't really say anything, but make implications, leaving completion to the reader.

And you call others' work pretentious?

Grow up.
:iconsheepeatwires:
People are gonna miss the point when you're an ass about it.

Also, there's a reply button. Nice job.

You believe that to be true?
The photographers remit has always been to capture. To capture the mundane and enhance it through, lets be honest, a wonderful advancement in photo manipulation, is dilute. The danger is that the eye has gone. The world and his wife can take a snapshot, a few clicks later and we have "Art"?
Away!!
Any contemporary photographer must be honest and agree... Mediocrity is now the norm.
A fools paradise.
Jeez..
:iconsheepeatwires:
Mediocre... doesn't that mean "average"?

Of course mediocrity is gonna be the norm. Average is very normal. Always has been, always will be. They are synonyms.

Mediocrity has ALWAYS been the norm, it isn't easy to achieve greatness and those who fail give up. Anything is art. Not always good art but art. Lets see how mediocre you are, draw us something, take a picture.

We will critique like madmen.

Well spoken from someone who doesn't even have any original photos.
Using a computer to make your photos look the way you want them to doesn't take away from the art of photography. If anything, it adds to it. Paintshop makes it possible for my images to look like they do in my head.
